Terms of Service
You are required to read through this and agree to it BEFORE asking for a quote, so that we both know that as customer and artist, the rules are understood.
On payment I will assume you've read the ToS, so should anything go amiss, I will only ask ONCE that the ToS be read.

Basic Rules
1. I have the right to decline a commission during any stage of the process. (See details below.) I expect that throughout the entire process, that both sides will behave with common decency towards each other. If treated otherwise, I reserve the right to stop all business with the commissioner.
2. I only accept paypal payments, unless met at a Con, at a Furmeet, etcetera. I do not accept checks or money orders.
3. All commissions are in USD, American/United States currency. Google has a price converter, if you need one.
4. Prices listed are BASE prices. Detail extras will be provided within said list.
5. If you want a commission containing anything of an adult nature, you MUST be 18 years of age. I will NOT draw anything for underage customers that is NOT appropriate, as that’s ILLEGAL.
6. Estimated wait time on commissions are 2-4 weeks on sketch/approval stage. This gives me enough time to ensure that you get what you pay for, and that I don’t overwork myself.
7. I will not work out of order on my commissions. I will work in order regarding who has approached me first, and who has been placed on the queue in order by number.

WHAT I WILL NOT DRAW:
1. Characters that are the intellectual property of another individual that you do not have permission to use. I am able to illustrate fan-art commissions, but if you give me a reference for say, Simba, and claim that it ISN’T Simba and is a character that BELONGS to you, I’ll have to ask you to find another, ORIGINAL design, or else we run the risk of not having the commission started.
2. I cannot draw gift-art featuring the intellectual property of others WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. Though I have not experienced it firsthand, I have heard from those I trust that it CAN end badly.
3. I WILL NOT draw hate-art towards any subject matter. This means I will not draw anything containing: racism, sexism, anything overly offensive, or bashing religion of any kind.
4. No self-harm or suicidal themed artwork. I’m okay with some gore, but nothing self-inflicted.

ADULT COMMISSIONS:

WHAT I WILL DRAW:

1. Anything involving any gendered characters
2. Masturbation
3. Mild bondage (hands tied to the bed, blind-folds, etcetera)
4. Threesomes or Orgies (See pricing for additional charges)
5. Some size difference (no Macro/Micro)

WHAT I WILL NOT DRAW:
1. Scat
2. Watersports
3. Cub/Babyfur things
4. Guro

What is expected of the Customer:

So, what is it that you’re paying for? You’re paying for a service, for the goods that I can provide, and communication. I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, and a good grasp of what you want from me based on my skill-set. Be as specific as you can possibly be!!! This will help me illustrate what you pay for to the best of my ability. References ARE needed if you want to commission me.
If you want to pay me for a commission, realize that you are asking me to draw in the styles I have to offer. DO NOT commission me and ask me to ‘draw like this artist.’ If you want that style, then ask someone who clearly knows and uses that style you’re looking for.

What you CAN and CANNOT do with a finished commission:

YOU CAN
Repost the image, create icons, or stamps, so long as the watermark/signature is visible. I will provide you with the image that does not have the watermark, but I WILL NOT tolerate it being posted. If I find out you have done this, you WILL be posted on Artist’s Beware.

YOU CANNOT
As said above, post the finished piece without the watermark. Nor can you reproduce the piece, sell the piece for your own profit, or alter the piece. If you want the finished product to be altered in any way, SPEAK TO ME ABOUT IT.

What About Refunds?
If I have produced artwork for you, you must pay for it. If you ordered a commission, but something came up after you have paid, I can refund you the amount depending on what stage I’m on. Example : You bought a full color commission for me, approved the sketch and paid me, but then something came up and you need the money back. If I have the sketch done, I keep $5 (depending on commission), If I have the lineart done, I keep $10 (depending on commission) and etc. I do not offer refunds after the commission is done! I do my very, very best to make sure you are happy with the commission with every step, so if you’re suddenly not happy with it after it’s done then it’s not my fault, sorry.

Commission Process

1. Filling Out the Commission Form:

Once you have read the Terms of Service, in the subject line that you send to my Commissions Email (KoofinsCommissions[at]yahoo.com) include this word: Spring Chicken. This will let me know you have read the Terms of Service, if you are a new customer. It might seem silly, but I’ve run into some issues with customers not reading this information in the past, which is ABSOLUTELY non negotiable.
When you have filled out the Commission Form, you may then send it to me, and we’ll start getting some headway on your illustration!

2. The Sketching and Payment Phase
After you’ve read the Terms of Service and filled out the commission form, I will get in contact with you via e-mail, or from whatever website you’re commissioning me from. I will gather more details from you, get to know you (hey I like learning about my clients!), and have all the references I need, I will begin producing a sketch. I will produce a handful of sketches for design purposes I will send you progress via e-mail or through the website. Once you approve of the sketch, I will then ask for full payment. I will not accept payment until a sketch has been provided and approved, and expect it no later than the lining stage. If you cannot pay after the sketch/lines have been approved, I will move onto the next slot. If you are buying sketches, payment will be required upfront.

3. Commission Work and WIPs
Once I receive payment, I will begin the inking process. If you want any WIP shots at any point during the work process, say lineart or flats or background work, PLEASE let me know!

4.Flats and Shading
When I lay down the flat colors, I will send you the WIP for approval. Once approved, I will move onto shading (depending on commission).

5. Finished Product and Posting
When finished, I will then send you the finished product. Once you approve of the colored version, I will wrap up the commission with you. Usually I’ll go back and forth with the commissioner at this point and thank them, let them know any of the challenges I faced, or send them alternate versions. After I send you the finished version, I will review the Commission Form and see if you’ve opted to give me permission to post the watermarked version online. If you want to post it as well, PLEASE ask for a watermarked version of the final product. I don’t want your intellectual property stolen! D8

REGARDING THE QUEUE:
I will not work out of order on my commissions. I will work in order regarding who has approached me first, and who has been placed on the queue in order by number. After the current queue is finished, this will be non-negotiably put into affect.
REGARDING TIME TAKEN TO FINISH COMMISSION:
In the Terms of Service, which ALL PAYING COMMISSIONERS ARE REQUIRED TO READ IN FULL, the estimated wait-time is listed as 2-4 weeks UPON SKETCH APPROVAL. Unless I send you a sketch, it hasn’t been started yet. I finish my queue by the earliest date the commission was sent in, and will NOT finish them out of order.

REGARDING PAYMENT:
I will produce a handful of sketches for design purposes I will send you progress via e-mail or through the website. Once you approve of the sketch, I will then ask for full payment. I will not accept payment until a sketch has been provided and approved, and expect it no later than the lining stage. If you cannot pay after the sketch/lines have been approved, I will move onto the next slot.

Now I hate to be a hardass about this, but this is how I HAVE to do my business from now on. And this IS a business. I will treat you with the utmost courtesy and kindness, go out of my way to make sure that you are informed and up-to-date on the goings on regarding your illustration, but all I ask if that you follow the rules in my Terms of Services and don’t disregard them. They are there for a reason.

IF THE PAYMENT IS NOT SENT AFTER THE SKETCH AS OF TWENTY-FOUR HOURS:
I will move onto the sketch for the next person in the queue. There are no exceptions to this. Of course, I understand that if you have to transfer money, etc., that’s fine by me! But just know that I don’t want to hold any further progress over the heads of my commissioners. If that makes sense. Basically, I don’t want to do something like, ‘oh well it’s all finished, but I won’t show it to you until I’ve been paid.’ I hate to do that. So I’d rather just move on to the next person on the queue.
